I worked with this rich woman?

and yes, she was a bit......! Anyway, she said one day "I cracked a tooth so I have a dental emergency and have to leave" --- I asked her if she was in pain and she said she was not. I have 5 broken teeth - no dental insurance (yes, I take care of my teeth but am 48 and old fillings are bad from what I understand). My question is -- have you ever broken a tooth and does it hurt? Second question....do you think God made my mouth not be in pain because I don't have the money to fix it? I think if you have 5 broken teeth that you would be in pain. I was a while ago and maybe the nerves died or something. BTW they are all in the back so no one sees them --- I guess I'm wondering if this mean He IS watching over me or something...as mouth pain is REALLY BAD.

I have chipped a tooth and it has not hurt. I have cracked teeth and they only started to bother me when air and decay got in the cracks. If you have cracked teeth and they no longer hurt, it means that the root has died. Maybe He IS watching out for you. The Lord works in mysterious ways.
Reply:No, it means that they haven't rotted to the nerve yet. Talk to your dentist instead of letting this go. Your health is in jeopardy, as when you don't take care of your teeth, it will get your heart later. Your doctor can set up a payment plan. You certainly don't want to deal with "fake" choppers! do one at a time if you have to. do what you can afford! Millions of people don't have the insurance, either. It is nothing to be ashamed of. But not taking the steps to help yourself is sad.
Reply:My personal belief is that God is not around to protect us from bad choices. What he gave you was the common sense to seek help for things when they break. Would you break an arm or a leg and not go to the doctor?

When a tooth "breaks", a part of the tooth that is not meant to be exposed to bacteria IS exposed. From then on, it's only a matter of time until infection goes deep into the tooth, the root, the bone and gum tissue around it. Infection then can spread into the rest of your body compromising your heart and other systems.

God also gave some people the skills and determination to become healers, a few of them dental healers. Why not take advantage of God's gifts and try to get help when you obviously need it. There are community clinics and other resources to help needy people who need care and can't afford it.

Neglecting your broken teeth is to disrespect the good sense the Lord gave you.
Reply:I broke a tooth and it hurt. Mostly because it was a jagged break and scraped the inside of my mouth. It didn't bother me otherwise.

Can you qualify for Medicare/Medicaid? Some states offer dental insurance long with medical.
Reply:I have broke a tooth and it didn't hurt. If you are talking about teeth that have all but rotted out the nerves die in them after a while.

YES God is watching you and he probably did make it so your teeth wouldn't hurt cause he knows you can't have them fixed right now. God has for me before in the pass when I had a busting toothache and I prayed and the pain went away.
