Somone please help me calculate my final grade. I just took my Dental Anatomy final which was worth 25%.?

It was 100 questions and worth 25% of my grade. I really need to get a 70% or better on this final to pass. How many questions wrong can I get for a 70% or a 75% on this final. Thank you so much for your help all you smart people out there! This is an emergency and I need to know soon as possible. Thanks ;)

When the number of questions is 100, the percent correct is equal to the number of questions you answered correctly. (PER CENT means PER 100).


So, you would need to get 70 questions correct for a 70% or 75 questions right for a 75%.

I'm somewhat scared that you are going into dentistry and can't figure out a simple percentage, especially when it was 100 questions.
Reply:If you need 70% on 100 questions, then you need to get 70 right, which means you can get 30 wrong (100-70).





Good thing this wasn't a math test.
Reply:If you need a 70% to pass and passing is 60% or better, then you must have currently:





.75x + .25(.70) = .60


.75x + 0.175 = .60


.75x = .60 - .175 = .425


x = 57%





So you have a 57% currently and need at least a 70% on your final to bring this up to a 60%.





To get a 70% on a final with 100 questions you need to get 70 correct, which means you can miss 30.
