Dental Pain?

My tooth broke off, It broke below the gum line. Hurts like nothing I have ever imagined before. Will the ER fix it or do I have to go see a dentist. Its throbbing pretty bad, I am dizy and its kinda swelled.....Is this something that should be considered an emergency?

Dental Pain?
Yes, go to the ER. They can give you something to take for pain until you can get to a dentist. Try calling your dentist also. He may have an emergency # on his answering machine.
Reply:I would get to a dentist as soon as I can before it gets infected and then you will have an even bigger problem.
Reply:if you are dizy it's a sign- need to go to hospital now!
Reply:The dizziness is not from the tooth being broken but rather from either anxiety from the trauma or if you broke your tooth while hitting your head or face on something. If the tooth broke from severe decay than be prepared for a lengthy, painful, and expensive procedure. Now as far as tonight you need to go to the hospital to get checked ASAP especially if you hit your head. As far as the tooth, yes they can give you something for the pain but no they will not fix your tooth. See your dentist first thing in the morning and good luck.
