Root Canel? does it hurt?

Alright I started getting in bad pain over night yesterday and I had to go to the emergency dental clenic in the morning so I went and they took x rays and said to get on amoxycylin so Now i'm on it.


I took my first dose earlier today.


When do you think it'll start working? and will it ease the pain? until monday.





I'm on that and tylonel to ease the pain because the pain is unbearable. plus my jaw and cheeck are swolen.


So can someone please tell me how long amoxycylin will start to kick in? and will it take the pain away? in how many days?

I'm going to my dentist immidently on monday morning to get it fixed.

the antibiotics won.t so much help the pain but will cause the infection to go away which will in turn let the swelling go down easing up on the pain,. If you started them today you should notice a difference by in the morning. Aleve works better for me than tylenol personally. Yes root canals hurt but not as bad as an busting toothache.
Reply:i had a root canal a couple weeks ago and the antibiotic dose not help the pain but my dentist told me to do this for the pain take (4) 200 mgs of ibuprofren and take (2) 500mgs of tyenol extra strenght and it did really help for me just make sure you eat something because it could be hard on your tummy
