Is there anything requiring a daycare to cover costs of medical bills for injuries on their property?

My son was hurt at daycare, on their property and during daycare hours that he is normally there. Hurt bad enough where he had to be taken to dental emergency, not just a scrape on the knee type thing. Our previous daycare always made it clear that any bills you get, bring to them and there insurance would pay for. This daycare hasn't said a word to me about it. Is there something requiring them to pay it or at least help? Anything??

Yes, they were responsible for him!
Reply:If an accident occured on their property they will have to pay for it, I'm sure that they aren't saying anything to you because they hope that you don't know this is the case and will just let your insurance pay for it. Bring them the bill.
Reply:Any injuries on-site should be paid under their insurance policy. I would ask them for the information.

Without knowing what state you are in, there's no way to tell you anything further. However, every state I know of requires the insurance to be carried, or the daycare can be closed down.
Reply:You probably signed a waiver when you signed him up for daycare. Unless his injuries are the result of their negligence, it's probably on you. Ask to see the registration documents you signed, and contact your insurance company claims department.
