Help I'm in pain?

I was eating dinner last night and something happen to one of my teeth. Now my jaw is swollen and it is throbbing badly I can't find a dentist or clinic that is open today My health insurance has a 150 dollar co-pay for emergency room I don't even think dental is covered that way Any ideas to help my pain

Help I'm in pain?
Rinse your mouth with warm salt water frequently

Apply ice to your jaw

Take an anti-inflammatory med like ibuprophen, naproxen, aspirin as directed every six hours until you see a dentist

Buy a topical dental analgesic at the drug store to numb the area

Call your family doc's emergency number and ask for some vicodin or vicoprophen to be called into your pharmacy until you can see a dentist. It is a narcotic pain reliever with an anti-inflammatory med included.

Otherwise, go to a walk-in clinic and have them write you a script until you can be seen.

Tooth pain is awful. Hope you feel better and hope this helps. Alternating heat and cold to the area for 15 minutes each every two hours may help as well.
Reply:Time being give slight ice bag massage..but you have to contact Dentist.
Reply:take some tylenol to help with the pain. go in your bathroom and use the tiniest mirror you can find and hold it near your mouth so you can see against another mirror. Try and see if you have a cavity or if your wisdom teeth are growing in. That can happen at any age, at any time. If not, it's probably sensitive to whatever you just ate. Still unsure? See the dentist whenever they are open. I don't think it's something to be worried about, but if its causing that much pain you need to get it checked out
Reply:Get some clove oil. It should help with the pain. The root-canal treatment you need should be done asap.
Reply:Do wash your mouth with mouth wash at regular intervals --say 30 mints. You will get relieve.Change your brush and while you are having the problem clean the brush with dettol. Thus you see.Ok.
Reply:motrin is the best pain releif for teeth and if it's swoolen if you have any anitbiotics take them.
Reply:If you cannot see your dentist, you can go to any ER, and they will treat you with antibiotics and pain medication, and it will be covered by insurance
Reply:Oragel makes a tooth pain topic sold in your local drug store. There are low income dental offices and free clinics. Also, there are college students trainging to be dentist who will also do the work for you in some community colleges. It becomes apart of their class work and you get free dental.

Look into it for your area.
