Have you ever gone to another country to have medical work done? Dental included.?

What was your experience like? I had sedation dental last month for one tooth, a root canal, and paid over 4k. It was an emergency and they had to put me out, but I was stunned by the price. The cost in the states is getting outrageous, and pretty soon will bankrupt the average person, if it hasn't already. Curious about overseas treatment. Thanks in advance.

No, it is not worth to take the risk with your health. The cost saving can be very expensive if the foreign doctor does a bad butcher job.
Reply:I had dental work done in Hong Kong (only because I already lived there no other reason). It was incredibly expensive and I wasn't given enough anaesthetic. I also had a colonoscopy done and the same thing happened.I reckon Asian people being smaller need less anasethetic.
Reply:good dentists %26amp; medical r eveywhere!!!!!

I agree if u think that u r the best

but we r good
Reply:I had dental work done in Poland while I was vacationing there over the summer. I couldn't tell you the price with the exchange rate and everything because I wasn't the one vacationing there. But I do know it was much, MUCH cheaper for someone like me who doesn't have health insurance. I had three fillings done, but one fell out a few weeks later, and I had to go back and have another one chiseled down because the dentist messed up a little.

My mom also had x-rays done for her knee, which would have been insanely expensive for us back in America.

From what I've seen, I think the quality of care is better in America, but what use is that if I can't afford it in the first place?
