4 days ago I had the second part of root canal done. The temporary was put in, but tonight it fell out.?

My dentist is not open tomorrow, and I am not in any real pain. Will it be a problemm to wait till Monday or should I go to an emergency dental office?

Yeah, you can wait until Monday. Just try to keep your mouth as clean as possible. Make sure to brush and floss and gargle with listerine after you eat. If it starts hurting...by all means go get some pain meds.
Reply:wait until monday

unless it really starts hurting, and then maybe u should go to an emergency dental office
Reply:Put in back on. If it won't stay get some denture adhesive and put it back on with that. Call your dentist first thing Monday to have it re-cemented.
Reply:If you aren't having any pain ,wait until Monday. If this is a temporary filling and not a temporary crown, you can get the temporary filling material from the drug store and fill the tooth ( it's not difficult ) .

Be sure there are no food particles .The temp filling from the drug store and the Dentist is a soft material, when the Dentist removes it ,it's scooped out with an instrument or lightly drilled. The temp is only used to keep food debris out of the open area until the permanent filling or crown is placed.

It really won't hurt the tooth to go without a filling for a few days, just be sure to not eat any hard or sticky foods like thick carrots ,taffy, peanut brittle .. It may be a little cold sensitive due to exposure.
Reply:It won't hurt to wait but if it bothers you with food getting in then get some temporary filling material from the drug store and place it in the hole. You aren't going to have any sensitivity as the nerve has been removed. Just try to chew on the opposite side so you don't get a bunch of food jammed in there.
