Does Texas offer emergency dental financial assistance?

I have several severely infected teeth and I'm getting sick, dizzy, in unbearable pain. I don't have money up front for extractions. I have never tried to apply for welfare or state assistance and I've been running circles on the internet trying to figure out what to do.

Does Texas offer emergency dental financial assistance?
i read the sign on the highway there that says ---don't mess with Texas--- so I dont know
Reply:First of all you will need antibiotics and you should pursue that as soon as you can. Call your local welfare office and set up an appointment since you may qualify. Beyond that you could look for a dental clinic if you are in an urban area, they might be able to work with you financially. I always question how folks don't have money for medical care but can always access the Internet easy enough.
Reply:No, we've never gotten any in the 17 years we've lived in Texas. We never have any luck with insurance.
Reply:Try your local county health department. Or if you have a large teaching hospital in the area they might have a dental school where you can get it done.

Are you employed? If so, don't you have dental insurance?
Reply:Well I read a story in a magazine how two reporters pretended to have a toothache in Texas and went to several dentists to see if they would admit them with no money. Most did and were really nice.So I think that it is highly possible that Texas offers dental financial assistance. The conclusion of their investigation was if you have a toothache with no insurance or money..Go to Texas.
Reply:Baylor hospital in Dallas. Has a dental plan.
