Dental Emergency?

Can you go to the Emergency room at a hospital for an Emergency dental issue? Or are there specific hospitals for tooth problems? I'm having a severe tooth ache that NOTHING is helping it. I am 5 weeks pregnant and don't know what to do. The pain is to the unbearable point.

Dental Emergency?
Hi,

Where I live they have a dentist on call for the hospital. If you have an abscess it can make you really sick and you will need antibiotics. If you have a tooth ache you can get oil of cloves at the pharmacy. That will calm it down. Take care, and congratulations on your baby.
Reply:Call the hospital. Some of them do hve a dental clinic inside of them %26amp; they can give you a long lasting pain reliever...shot. Until you can get to the dentist tomorrow.

I've been there...feel better if you can.
Reply:Go to the ER...they can give you someting to help untill you can be seen by a dentest
Reply:of course you can go to the emergency room the doctor will give you medication for pain ,you have to inform the doctor that your pregnant some pain relievers is contraindicated for pregnant woman, most of the emergency room have dental on-call they will refer you if needed
Reply:Yes go to the Emergency, alot of them have dental chairs in the Emergency part and can take a look at which tooth is bugging you

Then they can prescribed and antibiotic if its infected or some medication to kill the pain your having,Just remember to tell him tat your 5 wks pregnant and Congratulations
